Our vintage Brands Hatch Motorcycle Racing posters were recreated in limited quantity to appeal to customers seeking a smaller A3 sized, high-quality art print. They have been hand-screenprinted using the highest quality materials and are sold unframed (the frames listed in the images can be added for an additional ). We only have a few in stock, in fluorescent orange, red, green and blue color variations. They look amazing in the thin black modern frames and would make great gifts.
The originals (which are also listed in our shop) were also screenprinted, but by an unknown designer in 1958.  They were printed on very thin paper of unknown size (75.5x51cm) and have various slight imperfections due to their age.
They were originally created for the Fred Mockford Trophy Meeting on Sunday, 21 May, 1958, organized by Rochester, Chatham & District M.C, with star entries from Derek Minter, Dave Chadwick, Bob Anderson, Alan Trow, Paddy Driver, Jim Redmond, Joseph Ahearne, Noel McCutcheon, John Anderson, Harry Hinton, Bill Boddice, Cyril Smith, and World Champion John Surtees.
Derek Minter (27 April 1932 - 2 January 2015) was an English Grand Prix motorcycle and short-circuit road racer. A versatile rider, he rode a variety of machinery between 1955 and 1967 at increasing levels of expertise and in varying capacities and classes. His best season was in 1958 when he finished the year in fifth place in the 500 cc World Championship. In 1960, Minter won the North West 200 race in Northern Ireland. In 1962, he won the Isle of Man 250 cc Lightweight TT.
Brands Hatch is a motor racing circuit in West Kingsdown, Kent, England. First used as a grass-track motorcycle circuit on farmland, it hosted 12 runnings of the Formula 1 British Grand Prix between 1964 and 1986 and currently hosts many British and International racing events. The venue is owned and operated by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organization. Brands Hatch stands for history and British motor racing at its best. Back in 1925, the first motor-bike races were held at Brands Hatch on a grass circuit. Legends such as Stirling Moss, Jim Clark, James Hunt or Ayrton Senna already celebrated race wins at the time-honored motor-racing venue.
