Description
1952 Williams Twenty Grand Woodrail EM Pinball MachineThe game is sold 'AS-IS'. If you are interested in this game, please have a working knowledge of how to repair a game such as this. The game is almost 70 years old and like every pinball machine, some maintenance and repair work is required to keep it running. That is, of course, it it works...
One little problem...
*****IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ***** I plugged this game in and I was going crazy trying to figure out why nothing would light up as power seemed to be running through the game. My repair guy come over and after searching for what seemed like forever (really, it was perhaps 5 to 10 seconds), he says to me "Uhh.... the motor is missing..."
So I placed a want ad for a motor and got a response from some guy who has a papal account by the name of tikicollectibles. I didn't think that someone would commit internet fraud for 0 but I was wrong. So I'm waiting for Paypal to get done going though their never ending wait and see game to get my money back. His account is still up and I'm still waiting for the issue to be resolved but anyway...
Meanwhile, back in the bedroom for my nightly reading (for real)...
I picked up my 'Collector's Book Pinball Price Guide - 9th Addition' by pinballeric (Yeah, I know, these price guides are useless, not to mention way out of date) and in it is a chapter written by well known woodrail collector Gordon A. Hasse, Jr., aka 'Gordo'. He lists 'Twenty Grand' as one of his favorite Williams woodrails. Now, I never get to actually play the game, but seriously, I'd like to know what Gordo was smoking when he listed this game among his favorites. Anyway, you now have the golden opportunity to purchase this rare collectible pinball machine with a horrible paint job and a missing motor for a low, low, price...
I am a Williams woodrail collector but I don't feel like waiting anymore to see if I will ever find the part I need nor do I have the patience for this stuff so I will go ahead and try and sell this game for whatever I can get for it just so I don't ever have to look at it again.
ABOUT THE GAME: The game itself is in pretty decent condition... that is... once you get past the horrendous all white paint job. And of course that minor detail I mentioned above about the motor missing...
I forgot to take pictures of the interior and don't feel like setting the game back up again. If you really, really, really want me to, I'll go and take pictures.
This is one of around 20-25 games that I will be making available for sale on Ebay unless of course I do a deal before hand to sell some of them. I will lower my price for multiple machines, however, I am not giving these games away. I have too much time and wasted effort in them for that.
I am open to reasonable offers if the game does not sell at the asking price.
The listing says local pick-up but you are welcome to hire a shipper to pick up the game.
